How Our Network Works
Who you talk to
Possessioneducational Garage Doors does not do the repair. When you reach out, we pass your request to an independent provider in our network. That provider speaks with you and handles the job. Availability varies by provider.
What they will ask you
Have these ready. It saves time.
- What the door does, or does not do
- Any loud bang, grinding, or shaking
- Whether the door is stuck open or closed
- Door type, size, and approximate age
- Your address, so they can confirm they serve it
A photo of the problem can help, if the provider asks for one.
Questions to ask a provider
Use this list on the phone or at your door.
1. Are you licensed and insured where I live? 2. What do you think is wrong, and why? 3. Is the quote in writing, with parts and labor listed? 4. Is there a fee just to visit? 5. What happens if you find more problems? 6. Do you offer a warranty on parts and labor? Ask for the terms in writing.
Typical costs vary by job. A simple fix costs far less than a new door. Get a written quote before you agree.
Safety first
Springs and cables hold a lot of tension. Do not try to adjust them yourself. Stay clear of a door that looks crooked or sagging.
The decision is yours
Compare, then decide. You can get more than one estimate. You can say no. Nobody should rush you.
